I’m an enthusiastic and pragmatic administrative professional utilizing over 20 years of civic engagement and public sector experience at the local government level to positively impact my community. As a dedicated civil servant, my background includes an education in Administration of Justice from the Santa Rosa junior College and Public Administration from the University of San Francisco; an array of intensive trainings, seminars, and conferences; as well as extensive work experience in Recreation, Parking, Public Works, City Planning, and City Clerk departments for multiple municipalities. Through sound management, transparent communication, emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, I take pride in successfully fostering cooperative and collaborative professional relationships with my team, elected officials, and the public. My goal is to remain continuously apprised of and affectively utilize best practices and industry standards, yet am an adaptive solution based problem solver known for identifying problematic inefficiencies and proactively initiating and implementing innovative process improvements to increase productivity, streamline procedures, and modernize operations. As the City Clerk, my office strives to provide exceptional service to residents, staff, elected officials, and other agencies while safeguarding the legislative history of the city, administering open elections, and preserving the public’s trust in government by ensuring the City’s processes are transparent, accurate and timely.
