City Reviewing Energy Efficiency Improvements at City Facilities The City has partnered with PG&E to participate in the "Turn Key" program. The program aims to provide a comprehensive approach to energy savings for City owned facilities. All City owned facilities have been audited through a walk through and analysis of the power bills including City Hall, the Water and Wastewater Treatment plans, the Senior Center, Library and police department.
The goal is bundle several energy efficiency projects together, complete them within a short timeframe, and use the energy savings to pay back the cost of the projects over several years. At this point City Staff is close to having a list of projects for the Council to review. We will provide additional updates in the future as we make progress.
