City of Cloverdale Drought News

On September 21st, the Bay Area News Group released a report entitled, "California falling far short on water conservation as drought worsens". The report identifies how cities across California have responded to statewide drought conditions.  Of the 376 cities and water districts that reported data to the State Water Board, only 26 or 7% met or exceeded the 15% Statewide Target.  However , the report highlights that a few communities in Sonoma and Mendocino County embraced water conservation.  In particular, the City of Cloverdale led the pack with our neighboring City of Healdsburg.  The report identifies that the City of Cloverdale achieved a 37% reduction in water usage in July 2021 over 2020! The report highlights the commitment by our residents and community to address the severe drought conditions impacting Sonoma County. Thank you to our residents for the water conservation efforts!
