Sonoma County Vaccine Distribution PlanSonoma County Health Department continues roll out of vaccines in Sonoma County. The vaccination distribution plan is reviewed and updated weekly. View the plan at: https://socoemergency.org/emergency/novel-coronavirus/vaccine-information/vaccine-distribution/
Vaccines will be prioritized for those performing agriculture, farm and field work, collecting and processing agricultural products including dairy, eggs, poultry and meat production, including those who live in dormitory/shared living conditions. Additionally, individuals involved in the specific production of food and beverages, including wineries and distilleries will be prioritized, but those involved in sales, service and small/private operations are excluded at this time due to lower risk factors in this group and very limited vaccine supply.
Vaccine will also be prioritized for food and agriculture workers as defined in the plan, for those 70 years of age and older or of any age with known comorbidities/underlying medical risk specifically including the following: cancer, chronic kidney disease, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and other conditions known to cause increased risk of severe illness per CDC guidance.
If workers reside in vulnerable communities as determined by the California Healthy Places Index or comparable local health department knowledge, they will also be prioritized in order to address equity and communities disproportionately affected by the pandemic.
