Storm Drains Connect the Streets to CreeksCloverdale has partnered with Sonoma County and the Cities with whom we share the Russian River; Cotati, Sebastopol, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, Healdsburg, Windsor and Ukiah to raise awareness about storm water pollution and how it affects our river and drinking water. Storm Drains you see in our streets, yards, and parking lots, often flow directly into most of our local creeks untreated and into the Russian River. Any material left outside including trash, pet waste and landscaping materials and can be transported by storm water runoff into our creeks. To get more familiar with how the storm drains at your home flows directly into our beautiful creeks, check out the new website at: www.StreetstoCreeks.orgs to see simple tasks you do can improve the vitality and health of those creeks.
