Completion of Vista View Connection & Intertie On Tuesday, after successfully completion of pressure testing, super chlorination, bacteriological testing, and inspection by City staff, Piazza Construction completed the connection and intertie of approximately 90’ section of new 6” water line to the existing water main on Vista View Drive. The water connection marks the completion of a major project milestone on the Vista View Slide Repair project and will enable removal of the temporary water line that was installed after the road was damaged from storms. City staff coordinated the water system shut down to allow the tie in as well as re-pressurization of the water mains and services in the vista view area. City staff preformed flushing and chlorine residual testing of the water mains In the area to insure minimal impacts to residents. Other work completed includes the installation of a new retaining wall designed to prevent future slides on Vista View Drive.

CERT Training OpportunityThe Northern Sonoma County CERT is recruiting volunteers for another round of Basic CERT training. Northern Sonoma County CERT was charted by the Cloverdale Fire Protection District and the Northern Sonoma County Fire Protection District and works in Northern Sonoma County with COPE, LISTOS, Map your Neighborhood, CART, and other voluntary groups working in emergencies and disasters.
