At the regularly scheduled City Council meeting of Dec. 14, 2022, following the approval of the declaration of the final results of the election, Councilmembers, Staff, and members of the public commended outgoing councilmembers Joe Palla and Marta Cruz for their contributions and dedicated years of service to the City of Cloverdale.
Towards the end of the meeting, re-elected councilmember Gus Wolter, newly elected councilmembers Brian Wheeler and Marjorie Morgenstern were officially sworn into office, and joined Councilmember Bagby and Councilmember Lands at the dais. By nomination and majority vote, the council selected Todd Lands to continue serving as the Mayor of Cloverdale through 2023. In his first order of business, Mayor Lands called for the selection of the vice mayor and Councilmember Wolter was nominated and re-selected to the position for an additional 1-year term by majority vote.
