Hometown Heroes

Cloverdale is proud to be home to veterans and to the men and women currently serving in the United States Armed Forces. In collaboration with the American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars, the City of Cloverdale proudly supports the Hometown Hero program which honors active service men and women from Cloverdale that are currently enlisted in the military by displaying their individual banners throughout the downtown area. Cloverdale Blue Star families may apply to have the name, branch of service, and picture of their family member put on a banner and displayed for approximately six months of the year.

Though the City of Cloverdale does not administer the Hometown Heroes program, banner request forms with payment information are available at City Hall. Forms and payment can be submitted at City Hall, and we will coordinate with Bob Cox with the Sons of the American Legion for the creation of the banner. Once completed, installation of the banners is provided by City Staff (pictured below). Contact Bob Cox at 707.894.2419 for additional participation information and questions.
