Maddy Act - Notice to the Public

In compliance with the requirements of the Maddy Act, Government Code 54972, the following City of Cloverdale local appointments list shows all current members of the City's Commissions with the term of expiration date, and the current membership requirements. 

Application Process

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the City limits, unless otherwise indicated below. Applications for committee/commission vacancies are available by request at mmaloney@ci.cloverdale.ca.us

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission is comprised of five regular members. The Commission is made up of citizens who have been appointed by the City Council, for a four-year term, to review matters related to planning and development. In addition to the five regular members, two resident alternate commissioners serve for a term of two (2) years. The Commission holds regularly scheduled meetings to consider land use matters including such things as the General Plan, Specific Plans, rezoning, use permits, and subdivisions. Planning Commissioners also have an obligation to attend Planning Commission meetings typically held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m., at the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center, located at 209 N Cloverdale Boulevard. Alternate Special meeting dates are set as needed for those meetings that fall on a holiday. Planning Commission Agendas are publicly noticed 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Public Hearings are publicly noticed 10 days in advance of the hearing. Additional information is available at www.cloverdale.net/planningcommission

Sonoma County Library Commission

The main purpose of the Library Commission is to serve as a resource and liaison to the Board of Supervisors, the Director of County Library Services, and the community, to find ways and means of enlisting public interest in supporting and improving Library services.
