Scout, School, Individual or Group Projects
If you need to complete your Eagle Scout service project, get volunteer hours for graduation, belong to a service club, church group, business or other organized group, or are just hoping to volunteer via a community service project or just volunteer in a park, then we have many opportunities for you! If you have a project in mind simply submit a VIP Project Proposal (above) to Park Superintendent Hector Galvan at hgalvan@ci.cloverdale.ca.us or ask what projects we have available or where volunteer time is needed!
Adopt-A-Park Program
Interested in keeping our parks beautiful year round? The Adopt-A-Park program welcomes individuals or groups who want to volunteer their time and efforts on a regular basis to care for a specific park in Cloverdale. Participants commit to "adopting" the space for at least one year performing tasks such as weeding, planting, seasonal maintenance, litter removal, graffiti removal, or other special projects. Fill out a project proposal and submit it to Parks Superintendent Hector Galvan at hgalvan@ci.cloverdale.ca.us
Park-A-Month Program
These family-friendly workdays are a fun and productive way to help beautify a park through tasks such as litter pickup, spreading mulch, raking leaves, sweeping pathways, cleaning play area equipment and picnic barbecues, weeding, planting trees, and more. We suggest wearing sturdy shoes or boots as it may be muddy, a hat and plenty of sunscreen and water, and you're welcome to bring gloves, rakes, shovels, friends, the whole family and a smile! Children are welcome but must have adult supervision. Cleanups are held rain or shine. No signups required - Just show up together or ready to meet new people with a completed Volunteer Waiver for each participant (we will have some on site for convenience) prepared to make a positive difference in your community by maintaining and improving our beautiful parks!
